Emmerdale fans are convinced that newcomer Jade has a huge link to the village, with them suggesting she is actually a secret Dales legend's daughter
Emmerdale enthusiasts believe they’ve figured out the ‘true’ identity of the enigmatic Jade, following her dramatic entrance this week.
The character, played by Twinnie-Lee Moore, made a splash in the Dales during Friday’s episode (October 11), causing quite a stir. As viewers may remember, Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) big secret was recently exposed: he has been participating in an underground boxing club to support his financially strained family.
His wife Dawn (Olivia Bromley) is oblivious to his activities, with Billy frequently fabricating stories to hide his actions. However, things took a turn for the worse this week when Billy sustained a series of severe injuries in a botched fight.
Despite vowing to quit the underground fights, Billy was taken aback when unlicensed boxing promoter Jade pulled up in her private car at the roadside, insisting he return to the ring, reports Leeds Live.
Dawn later stumbled upon the two, and the elusive Jade played along, pretending to be a potential personal training client of Billy’s. But afterwards, Jade ominously warned Billy that she would eventually get what she wanted from him.
Jade’s appearance sent viewers into a whirlwind of speculation. So much so, they suspect she’s concealing her ‘true’ identity and has a significant connection to a Dales icon.
Voicing their theories online, fans are convinced she could be the hidden daughter of Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly). It was disclosed last month that the couple have a secret daughter, Stephanie, from years ago.
Now, fans reckon a major plot twist is possibly on the horizon that would see Jade be revealed as Stephanie. Over on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, speculation is mounting after one viewer threw in the theory: “Anyone think she might turn out to be Caleb and Ruby’s daughter Stephanie?
“She’s probably going to become a big character being an established actress already from Hollyoaks.” Another spectator chimed in with their two cents: “Imagine! I would put it past the writers tbh.” Meanwhile, another was quick to nod along: “Wouldn’t surprise me if she’s related to Caleb and Ruby.”
The lass playing Jade, none other than former Hollyoaks icon Twinnie-Lee Moore, spilled the beans about her glee at landing the role, exclaiming: “My life has been a bit crazy recently juggling music and acting with lots of back and forth between Nashville and Yorkshire but I’ve been loving it.”
She didn’t stop there, continuing: “I’ve loved being back on screen, especially as the show is shot in Yorkshire, being able to be home with family and go to work on such an iconic show has been nothing short of amazing. The whole team has been so welcoming and really supportive. My character is so much fun to play and I can’t wait to see how the audience reacts to her.”
