EastEnders return ‘confirmed’ as Bianca Jackson spirals – but it’s not David or Ricky
David Wicks returned to Albert Square to help his daughter Bianca Jackson get her life back on track. But another series of returns could be in the works for EastEnders fans.
Bianca Jackson’s downward spiral has prompted her father David Wicks to rock up Albert Square for the first time in a decade – but could more members of her family rally around her?
The EastEnders legend, portrayed by Patsy Palmer, is desperate to free her sister Sonia Fowler from prison, as the beloved nurse was framed for Debbie’s murder by her own fiance.
But while she’s adamant on Reiss being the real culprit, many in Albert Square believe she is spiralling out of control and one notable resident, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), has begged her to get help for her depression.
However, this Thursday (October 3, 2024), Bianca was confronted by another concerned Walford resident in the café as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) gave her his own diagnosis, based on his own experience, as he told her she may be struggling with ADHD.

As the instalment of the BBC One show drew to a close, Bianca drowned her sorrows at the Queen Vic before getting the boot from landlord George Knight (Colin Salmon). Though Junior (Micah Balfour) tried to help her, it wasn’t long before Bianca ended up in a pile of bin bags as David Wicks, played by Michael French, spotted her for the first time in years.
But while David will be helping Bianca get her life back on track, two more returns could shake things up in the Square. During another heated exchange with Reiss Colwell this Thursday, the accountant fumed at Bianca, reminding her she should be focusing on her own children rather than on him. Seconds later, he then issued a coup de grace, as he reminded her that none of them even wanted her around.
Regular viewers of the London-based show will remember that Bianca is the mother of four children, two of which she shares with former husband Ricky Butcher. She is also the adoptive mother of Whitney Dean, who left Walford earlier in the year.
Liam, Bianca’s oldest son from her marriage to Ricky, was last seen in Albert Square in 2021, when he left the fictional borough of Walford for Germany. His younger sister Tiffany followed suit a year later and even brought her husband Keegan Baker along for the stay.
Morgan, on the other hand, who was the result of Bianca’s relationship with Ray Dixon, was last seen in the Square in 2016, after Whitney’s wedding to Lee Carter. With Bianca’s mental health at an all-time low, could Reiss’ jibe foreshadow a return for all or some of Bianca’s children? Could David Wicks’ comeback be another hint?
