Eastenders star Bobby Brazier to take break from acting as bosses left ‘panicked’
Jade Goody’s son, 20, wants to have some time out after working around the clock on a string of shows in recent years but he says he 'hasn't felt 20 for a long time'
Bobby Brazier is planning to take a break from acting. The EastEnders star, Jade Goody’s son, wants to have some time out after working around the clock on a string of shows in recent years.
He said: “I think I need to step away from acting for a bit and have a break. I am 20, but I haven’t felt 20 in a very long time.”
Bobby’s plan is likely to leave EastEnders bosses panicked as he is one of the soap’s biggest stars. Last year he won the Rising Star gong at the National Television Awards for his role as Freddie Slater.
Bobby is now eyeing a stint in the West End. The lad has been inspired by stage veteran Alexandra Burke after working with her on new drama Curfew, which will stream on Paramount+ from October 10.
He said: “I found Alexandra really inspiring. I would love to do what she has done and go into the West End. I would love to be talented enough to get up on stage and sing and dance every night.
“But I know how much hard work goes into that.”
Bobby is keen to get offers for new projects so he can keep challenging himself.
He said: “I want to be good at what I do, so any opportunity that presents itself where I can progress and learn, I will take.”
It comes weeks after Bobby Brazier was reportedly cosying up to a Married at First Sight star – again.
The soap star, 21, is said to be getting close to Ella Morgan once again, despite the couple calling it quits earlier this year. Both Bobby and Ella had been seen catching up in a dark corner of the O2 Arena on September 11.
Ella and Bobby had been attending the National Television Awards when they were reportedly spotted getting flirty at the event. This is not the first time the couple have been seen looking cosy at an awards ceremony, however, after the pair were caught kissing on during the BAFTA TV awards in May.
