EastEnders fans make unexpected discovery about killer Reiss and they’re scratching their heads

EastEnders fans have made quite the discovery about Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), and they don’t quite know what to make of it.

Reiss, as viewers know, killed his unwell wife Debbie earlier this year. He smothered her with a pillow and convinced himself that if she died, he would clear some of his overwhelming debts.

In the aftermath of Debbie’s death, while the police investigated, Reiss and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) pushed forward with their engagement party, which happened at the pub.

In August, Reiss and Sonia celebrated their milestone with friends and family in the local boozer. It was brought to a sudden halt, however, due to the arrival of the police.

As they arrested the couple under suspicion of Debbie’s murder, the prospect of getting married seemed to become unreachable.

During his questioning, a desperate Reiss successfully managed to put all of the blame onto Sonia for Debbie’s demise. Sonia was arrested and sent to prison, and hasn’t been seen since.

This week, a fan of the BBC One soap noticed an interesting detail in Sonia’s home. Taking to X, the social media user managed to spot that Reiss has framed a picture of him and Sonia at their engagement party.

Aka, the day they got arrested.

‘Obsessed with Reiss having a framed photo of him and Sonia at their engagement party moments before they were both arrested’, they wrote.

It was a pretty memorable day, I suppose!

Also this week, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) made an intriguing discovery when a solicitor read out the contents of Debbie’s will in front of her parents and Reiss.

While she listened in through the door, Reiss and Debbie’s parents learnt where the unwell woman wanted her assets to go. As the solicitor read out the contents, Reiss began to wonder if Debbie had left him anything at all.

Right at the end, the will confirmed a ‘dusty’ dolls house would go to Reiss. This left him shocked, and even more so when the solicitor confirmed Debbie had actually changed her will a week before the stroke happened.

Still determined to get Reiss to confess, Bianca then took to borrowing Freddie’s (Bobby Brazier) microphone for his bird watching.

She planted it in the lounge, hoping she’ll catch Reiss slipping up.

But will her plan work?
