Emmerdale viewers have come up with a new twist regarding Ruby Miligan after a recent death on the ITV soap, with fans convinced a DNA bombshell could tear her and Caleb Miligan apart
Emmerdale fans have come up with a shocking new theory about Ruby Miligan which would certainly cause drama.
The character was left distraught recently over the death of her estranged mother. She didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her mum Helen Fox who was terminally ill, and now will never know what she wanted to say to her.
It was hinted Helen had something to confess to Ruby, and Ruby is yet to find out Helen tried to get into contact with her before she passed away. Her husband Caleb Miligan intercepted the call and visited Helen instead, telling her that if she wanted to see Ruby she needed to pay him £100,000.
Helen did this, but she made it clear she had news for Ruby amid confirming she had divorced Ruby’s father some time ago. Hinting at an unhappy marriage, she wanted to speak to her daughter and make amends before she died.
She also hinted at some news about Caleb and Ruby’s mystery daughter Stephanie who is yet to make a debut, leaving fans wondering what Helen was ready to spill. But ahead of the truth being revealed about Helen’s last days, fans are wondering if she had a DNA twist to share.

Helen made it clear she didn’t want Ruby dating Caleb from the get go years earlier, and now some viewers are wondering if it’s linked to who his father is. In a bizarre theory, fans are wondering if Helen had a DNA bombshell to share, and whether Ruby’s dad was really her father at all.
Some fans think Helen split from her husband because of this truth, and that she was going to tell Ruby who her real dad was. This sparked another odd but explosive theory that perhaps Ruby’s real dad was someone in the village, and a former character – maybe even Frank Tate.
It’s unlikely given this was Caleb’s dad, and that would make the pair half-siblings. That hasn’t stopped fans predicting it though, with one viewer commenting on social media: “Maybe her father wasn’t he father, Maybe it was Frank Tate like Caleb.. .just a thought.”
