‘Bad move’: Will makes colossal mistake with blackmailer in Emmerdale – and will regret it

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) has made a lethal mistake whilst dealing with his blackmailer in Emmerdale.

As viewers of the ITV soap know, Will is being blackmailed by someone who is aware that he had a night of passion with his ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) whilst current wife Kim Tate (Claire King) was spending time living at The Grange bed and breakfast.

They’ve sent him menacing texts and demands for cash, and he’s still none the wiser.

At one point, he came to the conclusion that it must be Rose herself behind the attacks, though when he dialled the number, he was shocked to hear a UK dialling tone – despite her being in Ibiza.

We later saw Will sit down with best pal Jimmy (Nick Miles) when a vile email landed in their work inbox. The video, sent to a jaunty tune, was a deepfake porno of Will and Rose sleeping together.

The blackmailer then demanded £10,000 – and a meeting.

Just as we thought we would finally find out their identity, that was quashed in tonight’s episode.

We saw Will bundling cash from Home Farm’s safe into a holdall bag before making a journey to a lay-by on the outskirts of the village.

Consumed with worry, he paced backwards and forwards before noticing some cars charging towards him.

Was this the blackmailer?

Alas, no. It was Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Caleb (William Ash) dashing over to Butler’s Farm after hearing reports of a barn fire.

Caleb pulled over and put him in a difficult position, asking if he was coming to help with the unfolding situation.

Outside of the burning farm, the residents looked on as flames engulfed the building – with Moira (Natalie J Robb) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) trapped inside.

But Will’s focus was on something much more concerning… the blackmailer had tried to call him, and text saying ‘bad move.’

Will he regret leaving the lay-by?
