Emmerdale’s Tom King disappears after sick abuse of wife Belle Dingle is exposed
Tom's terrified of the consequences of his own actions
EMMERDALE villain Tom King has disappeared from the village after his sick abuse of wife Belle Dingle was exposed.
The vet – who is played by actor James Chase in the ITV soap – has finally has his brutal treatment of Belle exposed with his friends and neighbours turning their backs on him.
In tonight’s episode news spread from beyond the Dingles with Rhona Goskirk and Vanessa Woodfield learning the truth.
They took swift action, summoning Tom for a meeting before dismissing him from his job at the vets.
Word soon spread and more and more people learned the truth of what Belle was forced to endure.
However not everyone believed her.
Tom’s uncle Jimmy went around the village badmouthing Belle, accusing her of lying and haranguing her in the street.
And more concerning Amelia Spencer didn’t believe Belle as she begged her to stay away from Tom and not fall for his manipulation like she had.
They both bit back at Belle, insisting Tom was a good man before Jimmy let slip that he’d disappeared out of fear of Belle’s brother Cain taking revenge.
However fortunately for Tom, Cain was slightly distracted having to save his wife Moira from burning alive in the barn.
Viewers know she has been suffering from seizures, memory loss and out of character behaviour and mood swings for some months.
It culminated with her having visions of killer Emma Barton in the barn and accidentally knocking Ruby Fox-Milligan out before setting fire to the place.
Cain rushed in to save Moira but there was no sign of them making their way out before an explosion tore through the building.
Will they survive? Or will Cain perish in the fire, leaving Belle unprotected?
