Emmerdale’s Paddy reels in new spoiler video – as wedding is thrown into chaos
It’s the day of Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) wedding to Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) in Emmerdale but in this new video, Paddy still isn’t sure if he wants to go ahead with it.
This week, Bear (Joshua Richards) discovered Mandy’s money-making secret. The beloved character set up a profile as a financial dominatrix because she’s absolutely drowning in debt. She figured all she’d have to do is earn enough cash to balance the books, not tell Paddy, and everything would be fine.
Sadly, that hasn’t been the case.
While in the salon getting his beard trimmed, Bear overheard Mandy talking to a client. This only happened because she had left her new karaoke device downstairs, so the comments she was making to the male were blasted through the speaker and into Bear’s ears.
When Bear confronted Mandy, she said she would take the profile down. Eventually though, Bear pretended to be a new client of Mandy’s so he could expose her secret right in front of Paddy, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Marlon (Mark Charnock).
In this new video, Paddy is sitting outside the church, the place he’s meant to marry his best friend and love of his life.
Charity (Emma Atkins) spots Paddy and makes her way over. He explains he’s just having ‘wedding jitters’ and Charity tries to reassure him by saying he’ll be absolutely fine.
‘Catch ya later!’, she says.
‘Maybe’, Paddy responds, quietly.
If Paddy isn’t able to forgive Mandy for this secret keeping and her side-hustle, will the wedding even go ahead?
‘Without a doubt’, Dominic Brunt told us recently when asked if he thinks Paddy and Mandy are soulmates.
‘There’s loads of lines on the road to the wedding, he refers to the fact that he’s coming home and he’s back where he absolutely belongs. He never fell out of love with her. When people stop me they always ask “Where’s Mandy?” And they always did. It rang with people, I think.
‘For myself it feels like coming round in that big circle and I was delighted when she was coming back and she was saying, “What’s the workload like now?” And I lied to her and said it was quite light and we get plenty of time off [laughs]. She rang me and said, “You lied, you told me it was going to be light and I’ve not stopped and I can’t breathe!” The main thing for me was getting her back.
‘She doesn’t drink at all now and she’s completely straight and looks after herself, but it’s not calmed her down at all. She’s still absolutely crackers. You’d think it would chill her out a bit but it hasn’t. She’s absolutely mental.’
