Emmerdale fans fume ‘do better’ as they spot huge problem with concert scene
ITV viewers couldn't believe what they were witnessing during the latest instalment of Emmerdale after Jimmy, Nicola and Angelica enjoyed a Dua Lipa concert in a car park
Emmerdale fans were far from impressed with a recent scene showing Dua Lipa performing at a concert in town.
In recent weeks, a desperate Jimmy and Nicola have been trying to spend as much time with their daughter Angelica after realising that she will be going to prison for accidentally killing her friend Heath. On New Year’s Day, Heath was tragically killed in a car crash when Angelica decided to get behind the wheel to drive herself, Heath and his twin sister Hope to a party.
During Wednesday night’s episode (February 21) Jimmy and Nicola decided to take their kids to see pop star Dua Lipa in town. But with everyone’s phones left at home, the family was unable to attend the gig as they were unable to prove they had purchased tickets.
However to ensure they didn’t miss out on all the fun, Nicola thought it would be a great idea to party in the carpark instead. They all gradually got used to the idea and the family had a party of their own amongst the parked vehicles.
But fans felt the whole thing was unrealistic and pointed out several flaws. Some could’t wrap their heads around Dua, a worldwide star, playing at a local concert in Hotton. Others complained about the fact that the gig appeared to be going on during the middle of the day.
Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: “What day of the week is this concert supposed to be? During the day also. Them dancing around like idiots. Writers please do better.”
Another said: “Are we expected to believe Dua Lipa is playing there?” A third wrote: “What in the CapCut editing is going on here? Dua Lipa my backside. ”
“I’ve just puked in my mouth at them dancing in car park at the concert”, fumed another. But others were also concerned with the fact that Angelica received such a big treat in the first place despite the recent tragedy she caused. Fans headed back over to X to share their annoyance with this aspect too.
One spectator wrote: “Angel getting Dua Lipa tickets for her matinee show at Hotten as a reward for causing death by dangerous driving. I’ll never forget it never!”
Another echoed: “Your child recklessly kills someone so let’s treat her to a dua lipa concert!” And a third person said: “I see what Nicola is doing but… Nah!”
