Emmerdale actress Eden Taylor-Draper has shared an excited update after Belle Dingle’s sudden exit from the village last night.

After months of abuse from husband Tom King (James Chase), Belle recently worked up the courage to leave him, though he refused to remove himself from her life completely.

In recent scenes, she was left rattled when he informed her that he would always be around, as he had no intentions of leaving the village.

When Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) later called round and found Belle dismantling the surveillance equipment Tom had put up to spy on her, she suggested Belle pay her dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) a visit in Scotland.

Belle reluctantly agreed, hoping to escape the Dingle clan’s constant fussing over her, and headed off to Scotland.

Though Belle has left the village in current Emmerdale, actress Eden recently celebrated her first Emmerdale episode airing amid the classic Emmerdale re-runs on ITV.

Eden took over the role at 8-years-old in 2005 from young actress Emily Mather, and has played Belle ever since.

Eden’s sweet first scene saw her acting opposite the late legend Steve Halliwell in the iconic Dingle van, after Belle was sent home from school for punching one of her classmates.

When Zak warned her that she couldn’t go around hitting people, Belle hilariously quipped that that was exactly what her brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) did.

Taking to Instagram, Eden posted a picture of the episode playing on her laptop, excitedly saying: ‘I’ve made it to classic Emmerdale!’

Fans of Classic Emmerdale also took to Reddit to comment on the appearance, with one user writing: ‘Belle was such a cutie!’

Another was quick to point out how funny the scene was, penning: ‘She was really quite comical in her early years.’

Belle wasn’t the only current character to appear in this episode, with Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) also making an appearance.
