Emmerdale Belle Dingle death ‘confirmed’ as Tom King makes chilling threat
Emmerdale fans were left horrified as Tom King made a chilling threat to Belle Dingle in Thursday's (July 25) episode - could it all end in her tragic death?
Emmerdale aired some heartbreaking Tom and Belle scenes
Emmerdale has hinted at a dreadful end for Belle Dingle, following a terrifying encounter with Tom King. After her shocking ordeal earlier this week, Belle escaped from Wales and retreated to her home where she found Lydia Dingle.
She risked a visit back to her shared home with Tom to collect her belongings, only to discover he was lying in wait. In tear-jerking scenes, he threatened her, declaring “You are going nowhere,” with her retorting: “You can’t stop me.”
It was then that he channelled an icy threat leaving Belle terrorised. He said, “I will kill you before I let you leave this house.” Despite his alarming threats Belle stood firm, warning him about Cain’s retaliation.
She told him: “What do you think Cain’s going to do to you? You know the only reason why I haven’t told him is because I don’t want him going to prison for someone like you.”, reports the Mirror.
James Chase, who plays Tom, shed some light on filming these grim scenes in a recent conversation.
Belle has been enduring physical and emotional abuse from her husband
Asked about disconnecting after intense shoots, he spoke of his past experience having acted as complex villains, saying: “There are definitely days when we’re doing a lot of difficult scenes – a lot of manipulating, a lot of gaslighting, especially the physical stuff.
“But myself and Eden, we know we have to do this story really carefully. We have to keep our focus on getting the scenes right. I think once you’re done is if you’re happy with what you’re done, that’s most important.”
James also revealed his early awareness of the domestic violence plot he’d be part of, stating: “When they offered me the part, I knew it was going to be a domestic violence storyline but I didn’t know to what extent. It was a shock at first. It took a bit of getting used to but as an actor, it’s great to play compelling and complicated characters. Yes, it is challenging at times but.. for me, it’s just been so important to make sure I get it right.”
Will Belle be killed by her husband?
As the storyline intensifies, James has reassured fans that there will be closure, though he kept tight-lipped about the timing: “It is good this storyline won’t last forever. I know there will be a finite end but working with everyone on Emmerdale is a dream in itself and I am proud to be part of it all.”
Speculation is rife on whether Belle’s storyline could culminate in tragedy or if the Dingles will intervene in time to prevent disaster.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
