Emmerdale’s Kim Tate might be on the verge of starting an affair with an unexpected villager.

The soap icon (portrayed by Claire King,) has been at the centre of numerous major storylines over the years, and currently finds herself estranged from her family, including partner Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

As viewers will remember, Will’s former flame Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) arrived in the village earlier this year, causing a stir. Despite making amends with daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley), Rose has been manipulated by Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) into plotting against Kim.

In a recent episode, Rose attempted to drug Will by slipping a substance she obtained from a dealer into his Prosecco. However, when Kim and Dawn joined them for a drink, Rose lost track of which glass was spiked.

The situation escalated dramatically when Dawn ended up in hospital following a car accident. Back at Home Farm, Dawn confronted her family, revealing she knew about the spiked drink and accusing Kim.

Seizing the opportunity, Rose fabricated a series of lies to frame Kim for drugging Dawn. Meanwhile, Dawn’s husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) defended Kim, expressing his belief in her innocence, reports the Express.

Last week, Rose further isolated Kim by arranging for her dealer to show up at the farm and confront Kim, making her appear guilty. Dawn was dead set on moving out, but Kim decided she’d be the one to leave to safeguard Dawn’s sickly kid Evan.

Now, with Rose scheming against Kim, viewers are betting their bottom dollar that Kim and Billy will start a steamy affair. On X, previously known as Twitter, a user exclaimed: “They should all f*** off and Billy to shack up with Kim, the Toy Boy and the Cougar! “.
