Emmerdale’s Tom King’s sinister plan for Belle Dingle revealed in double exit twist
Emmerdale aired worrying scenes as Tom King made his plan for wife Belle Dingle very clear in the latest episode of the ITV soap, amid the show's coercive control storyline
Emmerdale aired a sinister twist in the Tom King and Belle Dingle abuse storyline on Monday night.
Tom made a worrying decision without asking Belle, clearly happy he had isolated his wife from her worried family. Tom has been coercively controlling Belle for months, and more recently things turned violent.
He has her under his full control, from him isolating her from her family to stopping her from working, and even taking over her finances. Her recent abortion in secret soon came to light, with Tom punishing her and isolating her further by making her feel bad, while also keeping up her lie to others that it was a miscarriage.
In the latest episode, Charity Dingle acted on her concerns for Belle after she confessed she was worried Tom might not be the man he seems to be. With her facing abuse in the past, Charity has picked up on some hints that all is not well in their marriage, and that Belle is not herself.
On Monday we saw her confide in some of the Dingle women, with her eager to “kidnap” Belle and get her away from Tom, with the hope being she would open up. This backfired though, with Belle lashing out and unable to share her ordeal.

There was a moment though that Charity nearly got through to her, telling her she could speak to her. Belle looked like she was about to admit what was going on, only for Tom to show up.
Tom was electrocuted on the show in a recent episode, and remains in a wheelchair while he recovers. He has everyone helping him around, with Belle claiming he needs her at home.
But after Tom shouted at Charity and told her to stay away from Belle, we saw exactly what he was planning as he believed he’d finally got Belle to turn on her family. Belle fumed at what Charity was saying about Tom and her need to find out what was happening.
Belle refused to answer her phone call and instead headed upstairs, with Tom smirking as he realised he’d possibly torn them apart. It was when Belle was out of the room though that we saw Tom easily getting out of the wheelchair and walking on his apparently injured leg.
Not only that, but he called someone up about a job in Wales confirming he was keen, before claiming he and his wife would be happy to relocate. Belle has no clue about the job or the location of it, but Tom is clearly planning on getting her there so he can isolate her from everyone – so is Belle in serious danger?
