ITV Emmerdale’s Tom King’s real downfall ‘sealed’ as exit ‘confirmed’ – but not how you think

Emmerdale fans are certain that Tom King, played by James Chase, is on the brink of receiving his comeuppance after months of tormenting his wife. The ITV soap is gearing up to broadcast a dramatic sequence this week that suggests the downfall of the ‘wicked’ character.

In recent instalments, Belle Dingle, portrayed by Eden Taylor-Draper, has been living in fear of her husband Tom as the show delves into a storyline of coercive control. Tom has not only isolated and manipulated Belle, but he has also turned violent.

This ignited fear in Belle who wasn’t prepared to become a mother yet and secretly terminated her pregnancy so Tom couldn’t coerce her into keeping the baby.

In a heart-wrenching scene, Belle informed Tom that she had suffered a miscarriage, to which he immediately denied and insisted the hospital had ‘made a mistake’. Belle elaborated on her ‘ordeal’, confirming she was no longer expecting.

However, in forthcoming episodes, Tom will discover that Belle covertly visited an abortion clinic, and in his rage, he wrecks a nearby barn. But he goes too far and ends up electrocuting himself, subsequently losing consciousness, reports the Express.

Meanwhile, Belle doesn’t keep her secret bottled up for long as a new teaser clip unveils the moment she confesses the truth to someone, before having an epiphany about her marriage.

Emmerdale’s Belle is set for drama as her Mental Health Care Coordinator Rachel grows concerned after a revealing conversation. Rachel, sensing something off about Tom’s behaviour, suggests Belle should take a break from the village.

Before this, Belle tries to dodge Rachel’s unexpected visit but ends up admitting she had an abortion, not a miscarriage – a confession that alarms Rachel, especially as she begins to notice Tom’s manipulative ways.

However, Emmerdale fans are speculating that it won’t be an accident or Belle’s actions that will end Tom, but rather one villager’s quest for vengeance.
