Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher shares huge update leaving him ‘incredibly excited’

Former Emmerdale's star Kelvin Fletcher is beyond proud to confirm the second series of his reality TV show Fletchers' Family Farm on ITV showing his brood getting mucky and dirty

Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher has excitedly announced the second series of his reality TV show Fletchers’ Family Farm.

The star, who played Andy Sugden in the ITV soap between 1996 to 2016, has allowed cameras into his Peak District farm since he started operating it in 2022. The 120-acre farm is in the village of Wincle, near Cheshire. And due to the success of the first series, the show is set to return later this year, which follows the family of six’s farm journey.

ITV have confirmed that the new 10-part series will encompass more adventure than the last series as the family has added to their livestock – meaning a hoard of cows to the farm as they also come to terms with lambing season. Speaking of the upcoming show, Kelvin said: “We’re incredibly excited to return to filming for the second series of Fletchers’ Family Farm. The response from our viewers has been truly heartwarming and inspiring!”

And his wife Liz added: “It’s a genuine honour to invite the viewers back to our farm as we continue on this journey.” Assistant Commissioner Entertainment & Daytime at ITV, Leanne Clarke added: “We are thrilled to have Kelvin, Liz and the family return for a second series. The last series was an exciting one, as well as being extremely entertaining and insightful for viewers at home. We can’t wait to have them all back on our screens!”

Apart from being a TV show, the family’s farm is also open to the public on particular days. In the past, the couple opened the farm during Christmas, Spring and Summer. But fans may not have to wait long for Kelvin to reprise his role and Andy if his social media post in 2023 is anything to go by. After viewers saw Sam Dingle being accused by Will, who was married to Kim Tate, of stealing his valuable watch, Kelvin could not help but jump in.

Taking to his personal social media, he wrote: “If he touches Sam like that again I’m coming back to sort it.” And without question, fans didn’t hesitate to comment on his post. One person said: “Do it”. while another added: “It would be brilliant to see you back.” Meanwhile a third person commented: “Please come back, even if it’s only a flying visit.”

Kelvin quit Emmerdale back in 2016 after playing the character of Andy for two decades. And after filming his last scene, it didn’t take long for the sculpted star to start training for Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner, Oti Mabuse. He left viewers and the judges with their mouths open during a number of his routines – which helped to crown him as the winner in 2019.
