Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ major twist in chilling Tom King storyline after brutal attack
Emmerdale fans are convinced ITV villain Tom King will meet a grisly end when his horrific abuse on his wife Belle Dingle is exposed - and viewers think they know who will kill him
Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Tom King reign of terror will come to a bloody end after he brutally punched his wife on the ITV soap.
Over the past few months, the long-running show has been tackling the sensitive topic of domestic violence through the blonde bombshell’s marriage to Carl King’s son. The junior vet, played by James Chase, has tried to exert control over his wife by gaslighting her and keeping an eye on her every new.
More recently, Tom has tried to pressure Belle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) into have a baby despite her wanting to climb a few notches on the ladder first. Earlier this week, the coercive husband tried to drive a wedge between Belle and her long-time pal Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley).
But things escalated to a whole new level last week when Tom lashed out at her when she found out he had been spying on her at work. It was at this point that her other half heartlessly punched her in the stomach, leaving her with a nasty bruise.
However, this isn’t the first time he has hit Belle after he slapped her when she rejected his proposal last year. After watching the dramatic scenes unfold, viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their suspicions that more sinister times are ahead.
Convinced that Mandy would kill Tom for his crimes, one user penned: “Watch out Tom! Mandy will physically kill you when she finds out the truth.” Another agreed: “Mandy HAS to break at least one of Tom’s ribs when she finds out. Don’t disappoint me.”
A third echoed: “Mandy will rip Tom apart when this all comes out!” Taking to Reddit, another user added: “I’d love to see Mandy [kill him] than Cain especially after what he did to Vinny as well as Belle and Vinny’s already been through.”
Meanwhile, others believe Belle will finally get her revenge on her abusive husband. One user warned: “This storyline is obviously leading up to Belle killing Tom.”
Another added: “When the Dingles find out, Tom will be a dead man and I cannot wait.” At the end of the week, viewers saw Cain share his concerns about Belle after she failed to pick up the phone the night she was attacked.
Despite making amends with her husband, viewers believe that Cain is suspicious of the junior vet after he bumped into them in the village hours after he hit her. He began: “Mandy said you had words, I just wanted to see if you were okay, you know, with her being a gob on legs sometimes?”
Belle insisted: “We’re fine. I thought we’d sorted it to be honest.” “Oh, I must have got it wrong then,” he quipped. It was at this point that he asked her why she failed to answer the phone when he called.
He went on: “I called you earlier and you didn’t pick up?” Belle insisted: “I must have been busy. I saw you text about no change with Nicky, I’m sorry about that.” Some viewers believe that Cain will be the one to make Tom pay for hurting his niece.
