Emmerdale’s Cain, Caleb, Ruby and Ethan in huge 10,000th episode storyline
Who leaves Ethan for dead?
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale will air a dramatic new whodunnit storyline next week as the soap celebrates its milestone 10,000th edition.
The ITV soap screens episode 10,000 on Wednesday, May 22 – with high drama planned to mark the occasion.
Emmerdale‘s special episode sees the community gather for a village fête, but the festivities are soon overshadowed by the ongoing tensions surrounding Nicky Miligan’s car crash injuries.
Nicky was badly hurt in an accident last week and Ethan Anderson has since been arrested for causing the crash. Ethan’s father Charles was responsible for telling the police the truth about what had happened.
Next week, there’s more bad news for Nicky’s family when the doctors reveal that he can’t be brought out of his coma yet.
When Cain, Caleb and Ruby later spot Ethan in the village with his dad Charles, they all look murderous as they’re clearly eager for retribution.
On the day of the fête, Ethan is left bloodied and bruised in the road after a deliberate hit and run. A car speeds away from the scene, with the culprit determined not to be caught.
Later, those enjoying the fête are horrified when a battered Ethan limps onto Main Street before collapsing.
Once Ethan regains consciousness, his family desperately seek answers but he insists that he didn’t see his attacker.
The three most likely suspects – Cain, Caleb and Ruby – all watch the drama unfold from a distance. Did one of them take matters into their own hands?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
