ITV Emmerdale’s Vanessa Woodfield ‘to take down’ Tom King as fans ‘rumble’ his downfall

Emmerdale fans think Vanessa Woodfield will be the one to spark villain Tom King’s downfall after some telling scenes.
The character seemed to be onto the controlling character this week, as he made her his next target. Displaying his usual manipulative behaviour and fuming at her for “making him feel small”, he tried his very best to put her in a bad light.
But it didn’t work, and a deadly mistake at the vets saw him put in his place in front of a customer and his boss Paddy Kirk. Viewers know that Tom doesn’t take being scolded very well, with him liking to be in control.
He’s been coercively controlling and isolating his wife Belle Dingle for weeks, starting off with gaslighting her and trying to take over her life, before sadly leaving her terrified with threats and violence. Things are only set to get worse for Belle, as Tom’s abuse escalates, and no one seems to have noticed what he’s up to.
But this could change after he possibly took on the wrong character, slamming Vanessa to Belle and seeming keen to get back at her for telling him off. Tom had fumed about her apparently trying to get him fired and then belittling him, the very same thing he’s doing to Belle.

Given how he’s targeted Vinny Dingle for simply being friends with Belle, might he have worse planned for Vanessa after she dared to call him out and “humiliate” him? If he does have something up his sleeve, fans think it will backfire.
They think the way Vanessa took on Tom this week is proof she could be the one to expose what he’s really like, possibly bringing him down for once and for all. Taking to social media, fans guessed she will work out the real Tom, and what he’s doing to Belle, possibly exposing him to everyone else.
One fan posted: “Vanessa can take him down, she ain’t gonna put up with any of his crap/bullying ways. But yes she still needs to be careful.” Another fan agreed: “I think Vanessa is too wise to succumb to Tom’s bullying ways. I think it will be her that finds out how he’s treating Belle, then he’ll be sacked [from the vet and] then he’ll leave Belle.”
