Emmerdale turns Mean Girls as feuding villagers become ‘frenemies’ in catty scenes – leaving fans in hysterics
The women's husbands had no idea what they had done to each other before they clashed in the pub
EMMERDALE turned Mean Girls tonight as feuding villagers become ‘frenemies’ in catty scenes – leaving fans in hysterics.
The latest episode of the ITV soap saw Moira Dingle accidentally soak Ruby Fox-Miligan after driving through a puddle in her car.
While she hadn’t intended to do it, Moira was highly amused when she realised what she’d done, and laughed her head off as she told husband Cain afterwards.
Meanwhile, Ruby was back home seething, and once she was dried off and changed, she headed out in the car, where she once again came across Moira in her van.
The women were locked in a stalemate on the single track road until Will Taylor came along and told them he needed to get past to reach his sick grandson Evan in hospital.
Later, both women were in the pub with their other halves when the men found out what had gone on earlier in the day.
Ruby’s husband Caleb made her apologise to Moira, and she struggled to get the words out.
She said: “It is possible that I may have been a little childish earlier, the whole refusing to let you pass thing.
“Well anyway, I apologise, sincerely… don’t be so surprised, I am willing to admit that I am on occasion guilty of blowing these misunderstandings slightly out of proportion.”
Ruby then suggested they hug it out before grabbing Moira, and Caleb seemed satisfied by her apology.
But as he ordered a pint, Moira leaned in to Ruby and said quietly: “You don’t think I’m buying this?”
Ruby replied: “Oh god no,” to which Moira said: “Good, glad we’re on the same page.”
With the feud set to rumble on between the two women, Emmerdale fans took to X – formerly Twitter – to discuss the scenes.
One wrote: “Ngl I was laughing with Moira then!!” while another added: “Moira Dingle you’re my hero.”
A third tweeted: “I love Moira!” with a fourth chiming in with: “I loved seeing Moira laugh after she sprayed Ruby!”
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
