Eric’s downfall
Eric Pollard is finally rumbled next week after his recent vile behaviour, and someone takes revenge. Viewers know that Eric has targeted a number of characters recently, with threats and lies and cruel behaviour.
He’s caught out by another resident next week, weeks on from a shocking money scam that left one resident disowned. He Kerry Wyatt out of thousands of pounds that should have been hers, before demanding money from her she doesn’t even have.
Kerry had stolen a necklace from a cruise ship, and she asked Eric to value it so she could get the money and pay for daughter Amy Wyatt’s wedding. But on the day of the wedding, Kerry was forced to admit she did not have the money to pay for it all, after the necklace was valued as being worthless.
But Eric was in cahoots with a pawnbroker, and the pair realised the necklace was worth thousands and thousands of pounds. Telling Kerry it was only worth about £60, he offered to buy it off her and then suddenly stepped in to cover the wedding as Amy’s saviour.
He didn’t reveal the money he used was from the necklace, and he then had the audacity to tell Kerry she owed him the amount he paid, with interest, knowing full well she didn’t have the cash, and also he’d taken any money she could have had. Next week, the truth comes out, and Kerry takes her revenge.
Kerry is suspicious of the character and the necklace drama, and she sneaks into his house to find evidence. She goes on his laptop and she soon discovers he swindled her by selling her necklace for a fortune.

Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle faces sinister threats and abuse at the hands of husband Tom King next week, in a special episode of the ITV soap. Viewers will see first-hand the “terrifying reality” Belle faces each day living with Tom, as his control over her and abuse towards her escalates. A discovery soon leads to him turning menacing towards her, and Belle faces danger.
Secrets and betrayals are laid bare, but what none of the guests realise is what is really going on in Belle and Tom’s marriage. Prior to the meal that is dumped on her by Tom, with him making it clear its success is down to her, Belle sneaks to a doctor appointment to organise her contraceptive prescription.
She doesn’t want a child with Tom, and he’s trying to force her to start a family with him before she is ready. Belle explains to Manpreet she doesn’t want it sent to her home like her other medication and they find a solution.
With Tom already annoyed as he’s called out by Vanessa Woodfield at work, his anger is taken out on Belle. Wanting to try and win his colleagues over after a deadly mistake at the vets, he puts the pressure on Belle to fix his mess with the gathering.
Tom is soon up to his old tricks, as he asks her to change into a more appropriate outfit for the gathering. But while in the kitchen alone he makes a discovery, but before he can confront her, the guests start to arrive.
As the meal gets underway, Belle excuses herself and becomes emotional over things with Tom. Tom is full of rage though, and bides his time before following Belle to the bathroom later on.
He acts threateningly towards her leaving her terrified, as the guests carry on downstairs. Tom doesn’t let Belle out of his sight in the kitchen for the duration of the dinner, but chaos ensues when Rhona and Marlon row and she ends up leaving.
As the other guests begin to follow, Belle realises she’s about to be left alone with her abuser and begs them to stay. As all the guests depart, we see the terrifying reality of Belle’s life with the menacing Tom as he has her where he wants her.

His friend Ethan Anderson is driving the vehicle when it crashes, but Ethan survives the ordeal.

Emmerdale will air an explosive special dinner party episode next week. It will focus on three couples and will show viewers the characters’ true lives behind closed doors.
As we see Belle’s harrowing reality, a split could be on the cards for Rhona and Marlon as they struggle in the fallout of Gus Malcoms’ trial and Rhona going behind her husband’s back during the court proceedings. In the upcoming scenes, Tom decides to throw a dinner party for his co-workers at home after he messes up at the vets and has an outburst.
Meanwhile, Rhona and Marlon are still feuding after all that happened with Gus, but they agree to meet for lunch where it’s clear things are awkward between them. Rhona tells him they’re going to Tom’s for dinner and he’s angry to find out he wasn’t consulted before she agreed to it. He agrees he’ll come to the meal but it’s clear the pair are far from getting along.
At the dinner party, tensions are clearly palpable between Rhona and Marlon whilst Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle seem blissfully unaware and their loved up display only makes things more awkward. A fight ensues between Rhona and Marlon, as she tries to leave but he rejects her choice.
She seemingly ends their marriage in front of everyone – but is this really it for the couple or will they be able to sort things out?
