Emmerdale Tom’s reign of terror intensifies as he continues to abuse wife Belle
The cracks are starting to show for newlyweds Belle and Tom King in ITV's Emmerdale as the tension continues to rise when they host an impromptu dinner party at their home
Things are about to go from bad to worst for Belle King in Emmerdale next week, as ITV airs a special episode portraying her Tom’s awful abuse.
In upcoming scenes, Belle and Tom host a dinner party. But before their big dinner event, Belle sneaks to a doctor’s appointment to organise her contraceptive prescription.
Nervous about her situation, she explains to Manpreet she doesn’t want her prescription sent to her home like her other medication and they find a solution. Meanwhile, at work, Tom is patronised by Vanessa when he mistakingly diagnoses an elderly dog with cancer without conducting the necessary diagnostic tests.
Luckily, when Vanessa and Paddy arrive in the nick of time she quickly orchestrates the correct blood tests and it is just an abscess. As the annoyed customer heads out, Tom starts playing victim, laying it on thick how Vanessa makes him feel unwelcome at the practice.
The next day, as guests arrive for the dinner party, tensions simmer between Rhona and Marlon. Meanwhile Belle, who is stressed, excuses herself, saying the onions made her cry, as her relationship with the controlling Tom becomes increasingly strained.
Later, Belle puts the finishing touches to the Dale Head dinner, but critical Tom asks her to change into a more appropriate outfit. Compling she heads upstairs. In the kitchen alone Tom makes a discovery, but before he can confront her, more guests start to arrive.
Not long after, when Belle goes upstairs Tom joins her in the bathroom. He’s threatening. Soon Tom doesn’t let Belle out of his sight in the kitchen as things become increasingly tense. When Rhona finally puts her foot down to leave following the argument, the other guests apologetically follow suit.
But Belle’s desperate for people to stay, howevr they all make their excuses. And as guests depart, we see the terrifying reality of Belle’s life with her menacing husband.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
