Emmerdale affair ‘sealed’ as Manpreet has her eye on new man – but he’s married
Things haven’t been going well between Manpreet Sharma and her boyfriend Charles Anderson after a rejected proposal – and now it looks like Manpreet has set her sights elsewhere
Emmerdale looks set for another shocking affair storyline as Manpreet Sharma has her eyes on a married man.
Last week, viewers saw her boyfriend Charles Anderson get down on one knee to propose to Manpreet, who was left stunned by his move. Pressure from his mum Claudette didn’t help, as she made constant jabs at the unmarried couple for living in sin.
But Manpreet turned Charles down, leaving him devastated – but insisting their relationship was strong just as it was. Fans have spotted tension between the pair, however, as she confided in other villagers that things aren’t the same between them since they rekindled things.
Now new spoilers for the ITV soap have revealed Manpreet is getting closer to another villager. Billy is busy starting up his personal training business again, but with him and Dawn struggling to raise their kids at home, things are shaky from the off.
It turns out Manpreet is one of Billy’s first clients, and she soon realises she has a crush on her hunky instructor. The next day, Will and Kim agree to help out with childcare so Billy can concentrate on making a go of it, but Will is forced to slip away when he receives a mysterious phone call.
During a steamy training session, Manpreet is clearly flirting with Billy – despite the pair both being in relationships – but he’s too distracted with his own family to notice. Will, meanwhile, heads to the hospital and comes face to face with Rose – someone from his past.
Determined to keep his secrets from Kim, Will keeps quiet about where he’s been when he returns home. Meanwhile, Manpreet is left feeling dejected as Charles shows a complete lack of interest in her. Buoyed by Billy’s advice, she reckons a dinner date could be the answer to all their romance problems.
Over on social media, fans are already spotting sparks flying between Manpreet and Billy, with one X user penning: “I wonder what plans the writers have for Manpreet? I feel like they have a big story planned for her?” Another answered: “Bet she’s going to have an affair.”
“Billy and Manpreet affair when?” someone else wondered, as a fourth social media user said: “Billy and Manpreet… just putting it out there.”
Elsewhere next week, sparks are also flying for one of the village’s younger residents, as Sarah is forced to help her granddad Cain out at the garage. Furious, she begins her shift… and is soon left intrigued as a handsome customer asks for help fixing his car.
Cain is left bemused as sparks fly between the pair, while Charity is left proud of Sarah’s new job. Mack, however, is flustered when Sarah suggests she could replace him at the garage.
