Emmerdale’s Victoria and Jacob split teased as they’re faced with major decision

It looks like it may be trouble in paradise for Jacob Gallagher and Victoria Sugden in Emmerdale as the pair are forced to make a big decision.

Next week, Jacob attempts to hide the news from Victoria that he’s beeng given the opportunity to take part in a six week placement in Berlin. But Victoria is aware he has turned it down in order to stay with her and worries he could be missing out on his future.

Later on, Leyla’s bemused when Liam tells her about the placement that Jacob’s been given. But Victoria is clearly embarrassed as she explains to Leyla, Jacob has decided not to take it in order to remain close to her.

Both women worry Jacob’s relationship will ultimately limit his life. Seeing things not go the way she had hoped, soon Victoria makes a major decision that will effect her union with Jacob.

Victoria and Jacob caused shockwaves in the village last year when residents discovered that they had embarked on a romantic relationship. Jacob’s dad David was particularly concerned and heartbroken as he genuinely believed that he and Victoria were going to get back together.

After weeks of Jacob and Victoria trying to hide their true feelings for one another, things went downhill when David saw them secretly kissing. Seeing the pair embrace left David shattered, so much so that he decided to leave the village for good.

Last week, Jacob received news that his father had no plans in returning to the village any time soon. What came as even more of surprise to Jacob was that David decided to sell his home.

This meant that Jacob was left out in the cold with nowhere to go. And with Leyla not willing to take him in, Jacob felt anxious.

But David’s drastic move only caused Victoria and Jacob to get closer. After looking for somewhere to rent, Victoria offered a helping hand and told him he could live with her.

Although nervous that he would reject her, Jacob was happy to take Victoria’s offer. But as their big decision looms, viewers will have to wait and see what will happen next for the unlikely pair.
