Chas issued a serious warning as fears grow amid cancer battle in Emmerdale
Just weeks on from Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) life changing double mastectomy surgery in Emmerdale, there are fresh concerns from her friends and family.
After a worrying two months living with a cancerous lump in her breast, she had a double mastectomy operation in a bid to save her life.
The lump was discovered when she hooked up with Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and he urged her to seek medical attention.
The discovery brought back upsetting memories of her mum Faith’s (Sally Dexter) battle with the disease.
She underwent the same op but passed away in 2022.
After learning that she had the BCRA2 gene, she has encouraged son Aaron (Danny Miller) and brothers Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb (William Ash) to have a genetic test.
The gene can increase someone’s chances of developing cancer if it mutates.
Tragically, Aaron’s results came back positive, and he has so far kept it under his hat.
In tonight’s (29th March) episode, he showed concern for his mum as she headed off to an Easter egg hunt in the park with her daughter Eve.
Worried that she was overworking herself, she asserted that she wanted to get out and about.
Later in the day, she bumped into Liam who shared the same anxieties as Aaron, whilst also being aware of what he was going through himself.
In a tense moment, she questioned him on his new relationship with receptionist Ella Forster (Paula Lane), but he was quick to brush it off as just a friendly lunch which left her somewhat hopeful of a reconciliation.
Once alone with Aaron, he urged him to open up about his results but he made him promise to keep shtum, citing that it was Liam’s duty to keep his medical records private.
If Chas gets back with Liam, will he be forced into telling her?
