Emmerdale spoilers: Major secret as mystery calls plague fearful Kerry Wyatt
The mystery of Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) sudden return to Emmerdale ever deepens.
Kerry’s shock arrival has been baffling to say the least – not just because she came home in full, head-to-toe, Cher regalia being towed by PC (Mike!) Swirling. But there is also the question of ‘why now’ hanging in the air.
She returned to the village having been kicked off her cruise ship accused of stealing.
She claimed she had been wrongly accused by her fiancé, Malcolm the stalker, but it transpired after she removed her Cher wig that she had done the crime after all. Not that Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) knows, yet.
There’s so much more to Kerry’s tale than meets the eye.
Speaking of why she went away in the first place, actress Laura told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think she’s just gone somewhere where she can reset as Kerry and be the best version of herself where she’s not got a past and baggage around her.’
Sadly, it sounds like Kerry was never destined for a reset and has firmly stuck to her old ways.
Laura added: ‘But I can tell she’s just in that mode where she’s just going to make a bad decision after bad decision after bad decision. So, I just feel like there’s gonna be a few mishaps. Possibly?’.’
Amy, who was initially sceptical of her mum’s proclaimed innocence, was won over when Kerry manipulated her need for maternal affection.
And Kerry seems to believe whatever she was running away from, it’s firmly behind her now.
But it’s not, it’s followed her home. As the locals take part in the Woolpack quiz – Kerry included – Kerry receives a call from a mysterious number – one of many. The worry is etched onto her face.
Clearly someone wants something from her – is it her angry fiancé Malcolm on a path to revenge? Or has Kerry got herself into something even darker?
