EastEnders reveals update on jailed TV villain
EastEnders have delivered a fresh update on evil Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
At the beginning of the month, the businessman was carted off in the back of a police car as he took responsibility for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) ᴍᴜʀᴅᴇʀ.
As we all know, it was actually six of Walford’s leading women – including his ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) – who were responsible, and as they watched a fireworks display it seemed to that their ordeal was finally over.
Before he departed, Nish made a deal with Suki that would secure her freedom. He told her that if she agreed to continue visiting him inside prison until he succumbs to his terminal illness, he would continue to take the blame.
When Suki’s fiancée Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) discovered what she’d agreed to, she demanded more answers.
Soon, the Christmas Day murder came to light. Luckily, she agreed to keep everything under wraps, even if she wasn’t pleased.
Fans have since become convinced that this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Nish, given he didn’t receive a farewell video from the EastEnders social media team.
Navin has since tried to dispel this rumour, sharing his own tribute to Instagram, writing: ‘Nish Panesar 2022-2024.’
In tonight’s episode, we learnt that his son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) had some anxiety about his dad’s future.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) had approached him in The Vic to speak about an earlier, embarrassing encounter at George and Elaine Knight’s (Colin Salmon and Harriet Thorpe) wedding party.
A number of her drunken friends had tried to recapture their earlier fling, and whilst dancing, had pushed her onto him.
