Peter (David Michaels) arrived in the Dales this year, during Kim and Will’s (Dean Andrews) tumultuous breakup. Kim enlisted financial advisor Peter to keep Will from getting his hands on her wealth. The duo ended up in bed together to provoke Will’s jealousy, and Kim’s scheme worked as he angrily confronted Peter.
However, Kim recently decided to end their feud and divorce, which Will also agreed to. But later, Will was spotted meeting with none other than Peter.
It was then disclosed that Will and Peter had been scheming for months to topple Kim. Despite having a change of heart and calling off their plan, a spiteful Peter warned that if Will backed out, he would spill the beans to Kim about his actions.
Moreover, in Tuesday’s episode (November 26), Peter showed up at Home Farm to inquire about the situation.
Will then confessed he’d changed his mind and planned to strip Kim of all she owned, prompting Peter to suggest they toast to the news, reports Leeds Live.
However, when Will left the room, Peter made a secretive and somewhat enigmatic phone call to an unidentified individual. It was revealed that Peter was merely manipulating Will, along with someone else, to bring down Kim – with the mystery person hell-bent on ruining her.
Emmerdale enthusiasts are buzzing with theories over who Peter was chatting to on the phone, and it seems Kim Tate could be in for a jaw-dropping surprise. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, a viewer speculated: “Who was Peter on the phone to?”

The comments section quickly filled with fans suspecting it might be Kim’s son Jamie (portrayed by Alex Lincoln).
One fan speculated: “Jamie maybe.” Another concurred: “Kim’s son is behind it, Jamie.” A third added their voice, suggesting: “Imagine if it was Jamie Tate.”
The character of Jamie Tate, last seen in 2021 after staging his own demise in a dramatic car accident, has left his mother Kim under the impression he is no longer alive. Meanwhile, Jamie has been clandestinely residing with his daughter Millie and her grandmother.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
