Kerry Wyatt’s return storyline revealed as she comes face to face with Chas Dingle in Emmerdale
Will both women feud over their past rivalry?
CHAS Dingle has been battling triple negative breast cancer and made the decision to undergo a double mastectomy.
However, with Kerry Wyatt back in Emmerdale, the Woolpack manager could also be facing heavy conflict.
Soap legend Laura Norton reprised the role of Kerry Wyatt following her maternity leave and the birth of a second child with her fiancé Mark Jordon.
The firm fan favourite rocked up the ITV Dales with the police in tow but she has insisted to her daughter Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) that her troublemaking ways are behind her.
In scenes airing next week, Kerry tries to prove this by agreeing to be civil with former love rival, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
However, she can’t help but eavesdrop when she overhears her on the phone with the hospital.
Following her into the pub, Kerry offers Chas some tentative support.
Although Chas is surprised by the sudden turn in their relationship, she discusses her double mastectomy with Kerry and agrees to bury the past.
In later scenes, when Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis) rushes off sick, Amy blags a job for Kerry at the Woolpack.
It quickly dawns on everybody in the boozer that Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Kerry make an unlikely team.
But does Kerry have hidden intentions?
Regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama will remember that Chas had an affair with Kerry’s late fiancé Al Chapman in 2022.
At the time of the illicit romance, both Al and Chas were cheating on their respective partners as the Woolpack manager was still married to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
The pair hade made plans to move away from the eponymous village and settle down in a new home Al had purchased for him, Chas and her daughter Eve.
Sadly, the affair was cut short just as they were gearing up for their big secretive move as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) found everything out.
Cain and Al were embroiled in a feud for multiple years prior and this culminated in the latter’s death due to his foe’s young son Kyle Winchester accidentally shooting him in a bid to protect his father.
Kerry left the village before Chas’ affair with Al became public knowledge and without the knowledge that her poor financial situation was also the result of his plans to leave Emmerdale.
Time has since gone by and Chas is continuing to battled triple negative breast cancer next week before finally undergoing a double mastectomy.
Can she and Kerry ever really get along?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
