Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) continues to be a cause for concern to boyfriend Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in EastEnders next week.

Viewers of the BBC soap have seen Lauren struggling to manage her pain following injuries sustained in the club crush at Peggy’s nightclub earlier this year.

She later headed to the GP surgery, only to be told that her medication had to be reduced moving forward. When she returned home, she discussed her symptoms with Peter’s half-sister Anna Knight (Molly Rainford).

It was Anna who then suggested she may be pregnant, and after doing a test in The Vic toilets, it came back positive.

In upcoming scenes, Lauren continues to struggle and has a small altercation with Peter in the café. Their conversation later turns into an argument, and she is forced to confide in cousin Penny (Kitty Castledine) about her pregnancy.

She agrees to keep the news a secret.

As the week goes on, Lauren continues to conceal her struggles from Peter, who is growing increasingly agitated with her, and blames the pain on morning sickness.

He manages to upset her further, so Lauren decides to focus her mind on supporting Amy (Ellie Dadd), who is also dealing with a lot after the club crush. After chatting in the cafe together, they head home for a movie night.

Further troubles soon arrive for the Walford local, when she spots Peter’s mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) cowering in fear following an altercation with Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).

An ambulance is called, and Lauren instantly becomes suspicious of Cindy’s involvement – despite her protesting innocence. Things worsen when Cindy lies to Ian about her whereabouts, and she makes it her mission to uncover the truth.
The following day, she floods Cindy’s phone with calls and accosts her in the Square. Meanwhile, Peter is confused by her reluctance to take Louie to school.

He heads to speak with Anna, who gives him food for thought. After much deliberation, Peter confronts Lauren and asks if she’s fallen off the wagon again.

How will she react?
