Tom King’s last supporter abandons him as the truth is out in Emmerdale
It’s been a really, really long time coming but at last, the clock has stopped for Tom King (James Chase) in Emmerdale.
Over the last year and a half, Tom has abused Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). When they were in a relationship, Belle was subjected to being watched via CCTV cameras, being hurt physically and mentally as well as being isolated from her friends and family in the village.
Once Belle ended her marriage, things sadly stop. The lack of evidence surrounding her ordeal meant Tom was free to live in the Dales, and he took great pleasure in taunting Belle at every possible moment.
In upcoming episodes, Tom tries his luck with Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) again. He pleads with her to trust him and Nicola is left furious when she realises Jimmy (Nick Miles) is going to take his side again.
In the church, Tom pretends to be interested in religion and prayer to impress Amelia (Daisy Campbell). She softens to him and eventually agrees to put Nicola right about her boyfriend.
When they later arrive at the café though, Nicola remains less than convinced by their show of unity.
The next day, as Sam (James Hooton) confronts Tom about his idea to move away with Amelia, Belle struggles with the lack of updates from the police regarding her ex’s investigation.
As Belle heads upstairs to run a bath, Tom slips into the house unnoticed. He grabs one of Belle’s tops, leaves and later, Amelia is spotted by Belle wearing the item of clothing.
After Belle’s confrontation, Tom’s anger grows and he takes it out on Amelia. Just as he forcefully marches her out of the house he’s spotted by Jimmy and DS Foy.
The detective explains he’s arrived to take Tom in for questioning.
Tom attempts to outwit those around him but before long, he – at last – finds himself on the receiving end of justice.
