EastEnders spoilers: Cindy Beale betrayal and Walford resident rushed to hospital
Elaine Peacock and George Knight's wedding day arrives in next week's EastEnders, but the bride-to-be is left worried that her groom is still in love with his ex-wife Cindy Beale
The much-anticipated wedding day of Elaine Peacock and George Knight is set to unfold in the upcoming episodes of EastEnders, promising a hefty dose of Walford drama.
However, on the eve of their big day, a nervous Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) enlists Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) help to test George’s (Colin Salmon) loyalty by setting up a honey trap with his ex-wife. Despite her reservations about her soon-to-be husband, Cindy agrees to Elaine’s proposition.
As Cindy and George find themselves alone, she makes a move for a kiss – but how will he react? Following the tense encounter, Cindy reveals Elaine’s scheme to George, leaving him shocked and storming off to The Queen Vic.
Will Elaine come clean to George or deny the entire incident?, reports the Daily Star.
As their wedding day dawns, it remains uncertain whether the couple will go through with their vows, despite their families rallying around them.
Meanwhile, more trouble brews for the Knights as Cindy’s secret affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) carries on.
However, when George’s brother Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) catches sight of the pair together, he grows suspicious. In typical Cindy fashion, she hatches a plan to keep him quiet.
But things take a turn for the worse when a scuffle breaks out, resulting in Kojo being rushed to hospital. Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) also happens to be at the scene.
Will Kojo pull through? Will Cindy confess to her actions?
It seems that Kojo isn’t the only concern for Lauren, as she grapples with health issues following her pregnancy announcement.
Still reeling from the club crush at Peggy’s, she continues to keep a secret from her boyfriend, Peter Beale (Thomas Law), and the rest of her family.
As Peter attempts to be there for Lauren, tensions rise between them, prompting Cindy to step in with a warning for Lauren.
Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) gives Peter something to ponder over, leading him to confront Lauren at No. 45 about her possible drinking problem. But how will Lauren respond to Peter’s probing?
Meanwhile, another couple faces turmoil as Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) find themselves at odds once again.
When Jean excludes him from her financial decisions, an argument ensues. However, when Kathy Beale (Gillian Wright) intervenes to question the legitimacy of her pension advisors, Jean is left with some serious considerations.
