Newcomer Steph Miligan gets shock new love interest in Emmerdale – and catches him in awkward position
Multi-generational family drama is set to rear its head in the village
EMMERDALE newcomer Steph Miligan is set for a shock new love interest in upcoming scenes.
Steph (Georgia Jay) arrives in the village to join parents Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly).
Spoilers suggest she’ll have romantic interest soon after debuting.
In scenes yet to air, Caleb and Ruby are shocked to see their daughter leaving the B&B with Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
Caleb’s quick to question Steph about Ross, before making her an offer to be his partner at the Depot.
Meanwhile, Jai (Chris Bisson) proposes a scheme to Ross to steal some of Caleb’s valuable stock.
He tells Ross – who has just returned to village – about some merchandise coming to the depot.
After moving in to steal one of the vans, Ross arrives at a barn to unload his loot.
However, he is left horrified to find Steph among the stock, questioning what he’s planning.
This is one of many complications playing out for the Fox-Miligan family.
Elsewhere, Ruby is stunned to learn Steph had been in contact with Ruby’s mother Helen before her death.
While Steph berates her mother for her dysfunctional childhood, Ruby’s pushed over the edge and slaps her.
Despite her apologies, Ruby is left devastated when Steph leaves claiming her mother never cared about her.
Elsewhere, Ruby is left stunned as her own dad Anthony (Nicholas Day) pays an unwelcome visit to the village.
To her utter disbelief, she realises Steph set up the meeting, as Anthony tries to plead his case.
Wanting nothing to do with him, Ruby storms out.
Running into Caleb, Ruby begs him to take her home, but Caleb insists on having a word with Anthony himself.
After a heated conversation, Caleb is struck by Anthony’s sincerity and accepts a mysterious box from him as a gift for Ruby.
Yet it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to convince Ruby to hear out her father.
Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
