EastEnders Nicola Mitchell’s real target ‘revealed’ – and it’s not Jack Branning
Nicola decided to take action for Harry on EastEnders as she swore revenge on Jack Branning. But over on social media, viewers are convinced she has another target in mind.
Jack Branning may be set for trouble as Nicola Mitchell has sworn revenge on him but some EastEnders fans believe she has another plan in mind involving popular wine bar Peggy’s.
Having owned the Walford venue since 2022, owner Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) decided it was time to throw in the towel and held a business meeting with his cousin Teddy in scenes aired this Wednesday, November 13, 2024, on BBC One.
But while the charismatic Teddy made it clear he was keen to make Phil an offer, his ex-wife Nicola, portrayed by newcomer Laura Doddington, barged into Peggy’s at the last minute, on the hunt for him.
As this Wednesday’s trip drew to a close, however, Nicola tried to mend her relationship with her son Harry (Elijah Holloway) and the pair shared an emotional moment at Mitchell’s Autos as Nicola told the lad to turn Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) in for theft.

Regular viewers of the London-based drama will remember that Harry once set Jack up to steal a car and recorded him as he committed the crime, footage he has kept to himself. After finding out that Jack had been giving her son a hard time over his connection to Penny Branning, Nicola encouraged him to take the video to the police.
“It’s enough lose him his job”, Nicola said ominously, hinting at the possibility of legal trouble for Jack, adding: “bring Jack down.” However, over on Twitter, now X, multiple fans have shared that Nicola may have another objective in mind as she could be tempted to pull the rug from Teddy’s feet and buy Peggy’s herself as payback for their bitter divorce – and maybe to even lead a business her oldest son Harry could take over, like Teddy was keen on him to work for Phil at Mitchell’s Autos.
“Nicola is definitely going to buy Peggy’s. I’m sticking by my theory”, one wrote, just as another added: “Please tell me that Nicola is buying Peggys.” A third, however, claimed that Nicola may end up in an affair with Jack in her attempts to take him down: “I hope Jack doesn’t sleep with Nicola. I know he has a thing for blonde Mitchell women.”
This comes after EastEnders fans have wondered if Nicola could also be connected to Zack Hudson and Sharon Watts, after she shared a flirty exchange with the former. Following her impromptu exchange with Zack, some viewers of the London-based programme now believe the pair share a prison past and they could even be related, unbeknownst to them.
Among viewers underlining Nicola’s resemblance to Sharon, another fan theorised: “What if Nicola Mitchell and the resemblance was a factor in her casting as many have agreed that she looks like Sharon in the 80s. I see a resemblance she has to Zack as well I could totally see her as Sharon and Zack’s long lost sister and secret daughter of Gavin.” But what secrets is Nicola really hiding?
