Major EastEnders couple ‘call it quits’ as favourite gets set to exit
It looks like it’s all over for EastEnders couple Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
Eve called off their engagement during Wednesday’s episode of the BBC soap, having discovered the truth about Suki’s involvement in covering up Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder.
Earlier this week, Eve was stunned when she learned the truth about Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) killing Keanu in The Vic on Christmas Day from his distraught sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris).
In the latest instalment, Eve returned home to confront her fiancée, who finally opened up to her about the events of the last 12 months.
Suki claimed everything she had done was to protect Eve, insisting she hadn’t previously told her the truth as she worried it would implicate Eve and send her back to prison.
She also confirmed to Eve that her terminally ill ex-husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) struck a deal with her to take the fall for the crime, as long as she agreed to visit him in jail until died.
Eve was stunned as the truth sent shockwaves through her and Suki’s relationship, before admitting she wasn’t sure if they had a future together.
Suki was left broken, as Eve then went off to confront her best mate Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) about her involvement in Keanu’s murder.
As Stacey made Eve see things in a different light, Eve appeared to thaw in her attitude towards Suki.
Heading back to No. 41, Eve then assured Suki she would keep The Six’s killer secret.
But Suki was floored when Eve called off their engagement by handing back her engagement ring, telling her fiancée she would be heading to Brighton.
Is this really the end for ‘Sukeve’?
