Reiss Kills Martin in EastEnders’ Most Shocking Scene Yet!
EastEnders fans fear a beloved character is about to get killed off in a shock murder twist —and they know exactly who the killer is
An EastEnders legend could be getting killed off in a heartbreaking twist, according to fans.
Martin Fowler, who has been played by James Bye since 2014, has been on the BBC soap since the very first year. What’s more, Martin was Albert Square’s first-ever baby born on the soap to Pauline and Arthur Fowler in August 1985.
And it’s fair to say Martin has become a firm favourite with fans ever since. The market trader has also been at the centre of some huge storylines too, including murder and affairs.
However, in the soap recently, he has been left heartbroken after his former flame and pal Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) was sent to prison for murder. Martin has since become determined to bring her home.
As fans will recall it wasn’t actually Sonia who committed murder, but her fiancé Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman). Reiss ended up killing his coma-induced wife Debbie, amid his money issues.
This week though, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) got his hands on the CCTV that could free Sonia. He gave it to Reiss who destroyed the tape, as it showed him fleeing the scene.
However, Teddy made a second copy and gave it to Bianca (Patsy Palmer), who is convinced that Reiss is a killer. During Tuesday’s episode (November 5) Bianca watched the video.
However, Reiss conjured up a lie to try and cover his tracks, but it seemed Bianca saw right through his lie. Now, fans are certain that Reiss is set to kill again – but not Bianca.
Sharing their thoughts online, viewers reckon he could murder Martin. One person on an EastEnders Facebook fan page: “I reckon Martin finds out the truth and Reiss kills him.” Other people agreed, as someone else replied: “I‘ve been saying this for a while too.”
A third chimed in: “Yes I’m thinking the same. This could be the end for Martin”. Echoing their thoughts, another added: “Could it be the Xmas murder? Or maybe the 40th next year?” A fifth said: “Nooo, I really hope not.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
