Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) have reunited in EastEnders – but there’s a huge twist.
This was a move we seriously didn’t see coming – especially since she’s engaged to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace)!
It’s been quite the eventful week for Suki, as she and the other women involved in the Christmas Day death of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) headed to the police station to give a fresh interview.
Nish became suspicious when he overheard them discussing their fabricated story that incriminated Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
Later, he stole Suki’s phone from her kitchen table and sent a text to Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), implying that Suki had spilled on the festive murder.
After hearing every gruesome detail, he told Suki that he wanted revenge on Eve in exchange for his silence.
She agreed to spend one night with him, but he wasn’t satisfied – a bigger sacrifice would have to be made to stop her and the other leading ladies from spending the rest of their life behind bars.
In tonight’s episode, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was shocked to see Nish moving his bags into the Panesar home.
What did he have planned?
Soon, Nish summoned Ravi (Aaron Thiara), Priya (Sophie Khan Levy), Avani (Aaliyah James) and Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Chowdhury) and began to pour celebratory drinks.
The clan were seriously concerned when Suki and Nish began to reel off a long-winded story about how they had seen eachother in a different light after spending time with grandson Tye recently, and with him being terminally ill they couldn’t lose anymore time.
Word reached Stacey and Vinny (Shiv Jalota), and they rushed over just as the ex-lovers announced they were getting back together.
What!
Avani even questioned whether they were entering a polyamorous relationship with Eve.
To make matters worse, Nish had arranged for the Granthi to call by and bless their relationship.
Stacey ushered Suki into the kitchen where she questioned what the real motive of the plan was. Suki explained that Nish had agreed to take the blame for Keanu’s death if they got back together, though once he was locked up she planned to cut him off.
Little did they know, Nish could overhear their every word.
Later, Stacey called an emotional and relieved Kathy to inform her of the events. However, across the road, something more sinister was brewing.
Suki was stood outside the house taking in the magnitude of the situation, as Nish revealed he wouldn’t be going to the police to confess after all.
Having listened in on the earlier conversation, he’d decided that he wanted to spend every day that he has left by Suki’s side, with her by his side in his dying days.
As she took in the information, he kissed her and teased that he feels ‘like he could live forever.’
Will his torment ever end? What will Suki’s next move be?
