The Dingle family create a subtle but powerful plan to send Tom King (James Chase) a warning message in next week’s Emmerdale.

Belle’s mental health has been seriously impacted as a result of Tom’s relentless abuse. Things were made worse for her a couple of weeks ago, when Cain (Jeff Hordley) found her and revealed their dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) had died.

In a terrible state during the aftermath, Belle ended up breaking her bail conditions and confronting Tom. She was arrested and told if it happened again, she’d go to prison.

That afternoon, as Charity (Emma Atkins) and Mandy (Lisa Riley) told themselves Belle was doing better than they thought, we saw her outside talking to someone in front of her, with it eventually being confirmed Belle believed she could see her dad.

Next week, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) finds Tom outside the church, bloodied and bruised. Tom claims that he was attacked, but refuses to go to hospital or report the incident to the police.

When Jimmy (Nick Miles) finds out, he feels concerned for his nephew’s safety and supports him, his previous doubts quickly vanishing away.

The next evening, bonfire night celebrations get underway and Tom is sickened to realise the ‘Guy’ being thrown on the fire looks remarkably like him.

As the villagers watch the Guy burn, the Dingles each claim to be responsible for making the dummy, leaving Tom feeling intimated.

His anger bubbling over, Tom loses his cool and takes it out on the nearest person – his young girlfriend Amelia (Daisy Campbell).

But how will she react?
