EastEnders’ Kat Slater (Played by Jessie Wallace) has been left devastated after her son Tommy Moon was forced to leave their family home following his violent abuse. But some fans of the BBC One soap are convinced Kat is not the teenager’s biological mum.

Troubled Tommy (played by Sonny Kendall) has been violent towards Kat for a while now, and after lashing out and attacking Freddie (Bobby Brazier) at a family dinner, it was revealed that he had injured Bert and Ernie too.

The news of Tommy’s antics sparked panic in Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) who called social services in a bid to keep the twins safe.

The authorities soon came knocking at Kat’s house as Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) tried to make her see how bad Tommy was behaving. It was soon decided Tommy couldn’t live with Kat anymore, and he went to live next door with foster carer Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

Kat has given the Slaters a piece of her mind while Tommy is refusing to speak to his mum.

As EastEnders fans will know, Alfie is considered Tommy’s father but his biological dad is Michael Moon (Steve Shepherd).

Michael was full of charm and had matching good looks. But he was a dangerous villain who was eventually murdered by Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) on Halloween in 2013.

Kat recently compared Tommy to his late dad, but some soap viewers suggest the pair are not the teen’s real parents.

On New Year’s Eve in 2010, Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) exchanged her newborn for Kat and Alfie’s newborn Tommy. James Branning, the son of Jack Branning, had died from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) just days after birth.

Ronnie is so fraught with grief after discovering she has lost her child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), she brings the body to the pub to tell her family.

But after hearing Kat’s baby crying from upstairs in the Queen Vic, she decided to switch the tots in a moment of panic and runs off with Tommy. Tommy was later handed back to Kat and Alfie.

The storyline was hailed one of the most controversial in the soaps history. Is it about to be revisited?

Taking to Facebook, one person wrote: “I’m beginning to think Ronnie’s dead baby is actually Tommy.”

A second replied: “Yes because Ronnie swapped her baby with Kat’s when she found out her baby died but who knows”. Speaking about Tommy’s real identity, another added: “Omg this would be ace.”

“He’d go to Jack surely? As Jack was the baby’s dad”, added one viewer. One person pointed out: “sure Ronnie admitted the truth gave Kat the baby back”, while another replied: “Its EastEnders twists and turns everywhere.”
