Emmerdale is already prepared for the festive season as the ITV set in Leeds is donned with Christmas trees, baubles and snowmen galore.

It is no secret that the soaps have to prepare their storylines months in advance due to busy filming schedules, so while blue skies hung over Leeds early in October, the Dales were already adorned with winter scenes making it feel frosty.

The iconic Woolpack pub can be seen with a colourful wreath hung on the door, while up the road David’s Shop has Christmas trees ready for sale and The Cafe has festive bunting hanging in the window.

While on a visit to the Emmerdale Experience, where fans can have a look around at what goes on behind the scenes in the ITV soap, we snapped some first look pictures of the Christmas scenes.

Read on to see some of the show’s fictional businesses and homes decorated for the festive season.
