EastEnders confirms return as funeral preparations get underway in 59 pictures
EastEnders decks the halls, switches on the lights and puts up a little Christmas next week, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures, but it’s not all joy and goodwill, with some unexpected developments lined up.
Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) takes charge of the Walford Christmas lights switch-on but he’s left to do it all on his own with Cindy (Michelle Collins) reigniting her passion with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).
And things take an upsetting turn, with the Beale legend suffering from chest pains and being rushed to hospital.
Cindy, meanwhile, is forced to tell lover Junior about what happened to Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) – who is being woken from his coma – and she begs him to do whatever it takes to keep Kojo quiet.
Elsewhere, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) returns to the Square and makes things right with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), who encourages her to do the same with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
Eve speaks to Suki but things get heated and soon the former solicitor storms out, leaving her partner heartbroken.
But despite things looking bleak, Eve ultimately has a change of heart, making a bold gesture at the Christmas lights switch-on, and she and Suki are soon the picture of happiness as they reunite in front of Walford.
Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), meanwhile, is left upset when she learns of arrangements for Pastor Clayton’s funeral and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) continues to drink, with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) worried about her.
It’s going to be quite a week in Walford!
EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, December 2 and Thursday, December 5 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
