EastEnders legend’s terrifying ordeal as news of a funeral is confirmed

The Beales are in a tailspin in EastEnders next week, with a health crisis leaving Ian (Adam Woodyatt) terrified.

As he is taken to hospital, he doesn’t even realise the half of what is going on.

Cindy (Michelle Collins) continues to cheat, with the secret set to explode within just weeks.

And, not only that, she is also doing all she can to cover up her other recent shocking act.

Meanwhile, it’s an unpleasant time for Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) too as news of Clayton’s funeral propels him back to the forefront of her mind.

Elsewhere, there are major developments in the relationship between Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), which leads them into a joyous place.

But for how long?

Finally, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is keen to get the police involved as the extent of Jean’s (Gillian Wright) situation becomes clear.

Monday December 2

Ian takes charge of the Walford’s Christmas lights switch-on, and asks Cindy to help him prepare for the evening festivities.

After a tryst with Junior, Cindy discovers that Kojo is being woken from his coma.

It soon becomes clear that Ian has bitten off more than he can chew, and he suffers chest pain at No 45, forcing Kathy to call him an ambulance. Cindy arrives at the hospital to see Kojo.

The doctors tell Ian to take it easy, as Kathy tells Ian that Cindy is to blame for his stress.

At the bap van, Stacey and Eve, who is back from Brighton, make amends, and Stacey encourages Eve to talk to Suki.

At No 41, Suki and Eve share a tense exchange before Eve storms out leaving Suki heartbroken. After a heart-to-heart with Stacey, Eve makes a bold gesture at the Christmas lights switch-on…

Elsewhere, Stacey convinces Jean to report her scamming to the police, but she is left feeling helpless when the reality of the situation kicks in.Yolande struggles to get in the Christmas spirit, and is taken aback when she learns about Pastor Clayton’s funeral.

Lauren and Peter put the events of last week behind them. Mo makes trouble at the market by trying to sell Christmas goods without a licence.

Tuesday December 3

Suki and Eve are a vision of happiness as they agree to get their wedding plans back on track, as they hope that the road to happiness will be smooth from here on out.

Cindy comes clean to Junior about Kojo’s discovery of their affair and begs him to help keep Kojo quiet. A nervous Junior chats to Kojo at hospital.

At No 45, Ian hides the truth of last night’s events from Cindy, despite Kathy’s wishes.

At No 31, Jean is relieved when she’s told by a solicitor that they can get her money back.

Elsewhere, Harvey inspires Mo with a money-making idea for the market traders, and Chelsea and Patrick try to convince despondent Yolande to attend Jordan’s Christingle service.

Wednesday December 4

Stacey grows worried about Jean’s situation and asks Jack to look into it.

Things get steamy between Cindy and Junior at his flat, but Cindy makes a swift exit after Junior gives her a gift.

Back at No 41, Ian is alarmed when he discovers a jewellery box in Cindy’s pocket.

Thursday December 5

Teddy heads to No.43 for a date night with Sharon but things don’t run smoothly, and Sharon asks Teddy to leave.

Later, and much to Teddy’s delight, Sharon invites him back to hers, leaving Nicola seething…

The pair are interrupted by Mo’s latest money making scheme for the market traders.

In the café, Mo employs Kim to run the PR for the scheme, and entices Nicola to sponsor it.

Elsewhere, Alfie worries about Linda’s drinking.
