Emmerdale ‘gives away’ Peter’s true identity as phone call ‘reveals’ who he’s working for

There was another big twist on Emmerdale on Tuesday night, as Peter’s real intentions for Will Taylor and Kim Tate were confirmed.

Kim’s former financial advisor Peter was revealed to be working against her in secret, trying to bring her down this whole time. Not only that but Monday night saw the reveal that amid Kim and husband Will’s reunion, Will had been plotting with Peter.

When Peter threatened Will to continue their plan he was torn, but after being convinced by Ross Barton that Kim did in fact want him dead and was using him, Will soon changed his mind. Kim’s request to call off their divorce and to get rid of the dodgy dossier he had on her left Will suspicious.

Amid fans believing Kim could be out to get Will, he was seen meeting with Peter once more after seemingly calling for his divorce papers to be scrapped. It would seem that the person Will really called was Peter, as he soon turned up at Home Farm to ask what was going on.

When Will revealed he’d changed his mind and was going to take Kim for everything she had, Peter demanded they have a drink to celebrate. It’s then that Peter’s true intentions became clear as he made a secret and rather cryptic phone call to an unknown person.

In the call he admitted he was using Will as a puppet, with someone else, to take down Kim. It was Peter and the mystery person’s plan to to destroy her, but who is it?

Viewers now believe Peter isn’t who he says he is, and may have a secret identity. Could he be someone from Kim’s past, or might he be linked to someone Kim knows?

Viewers predicted he could be the brother of Kim’s ex Steve Marchant wanting revenge, as many fans noticed Peter did not have a surname in the credits. One viewer posted on X: “They haven’t bothered to give him a surname in the credits. Not sure if that’s significant, just something I noticed.”

Another theorised: “Cleary is gonna be someone related to Kim’s past like Steve’s son or brother.” A third viewer agreed: “It wouldn’t surprise me tbh if they went down this route,” as a fourth said: “Another scorned lover?”

A further theory read: “Could be Joe I didn’t think of that but the guy said he himself had beef with Kim and had no last name in the credits, so pretty sure it supposed to be a relation to someone which I am totally against actor.”
