Emmerdale favourite reconsiders quitting for job elsewhere as she is persuaded to stay
Emmerdale’s Ella Forster (Paula Lane) contemplated a fresh start away from the village after recent heartbreak but Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) ultimately persuaded her to stay.
The village’s GP receptionist, as viewers know, was left devastated earlier this month when Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) called things off with her.
The pair rekindled their romance months earlier but Liam struggled to hide his feelings for Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), with the two giving in to temptation and sleeping together.
Unwilling to hurt Ella, Liam broke up with her – though he refrained from telling her the reason why, with he and Chas keeping their romance on the down low in the weeks that followed.
After being sacked from the vets, Ella got her job back at the GP surgery but she’s struggled to work alongside former flame Liam and therefore on Tuesday (November 26) she contemplated a fresh start and a new job elsewhere.
Manpreet, who has formed quite a friendship with her, was left upset by the news and pleaded with Ella to stay.
Ella, however, reiterated that she can’t afford to keep staying at the B&B nd thus will have to look further afield. This left Manpreet with food for thought.
Soon enough, the doctor informed Ella that Dale Head – the property previously rented by Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Tom King (James Chase) – is free and as a result they should move in together.
Ella was chuffed, pleased to be staying put.
The news, however, left Liam and Chas on tenterhooks as they came to realise that they’d have to keep their romance hidden for another while yet.
But the cat could be out of the bag already as Ella walked in on a clandestine meeting between the two.
Has she put two and two together?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
