EastEnders wedding outcome revealed as relative betrays George for sick reason
George Knight (Colin Salmon) made a dramatic U-turn after calling off his wedding to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), as the couple finally walked out the aisle in Tuesday’s EastEnders.
Earlier this week, George was disgusted after finding out Elaine and his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) had laid a honeytrap to test his loyalty, admitting he could no longer trust Elaine enough to marry her.
While George turned down Cindy’s advances, during their conversation, he did admit he ‘would always love’ her.
On Tuesday’s episode, George wrestled with his admission, as his kids Gina (Francesca Henry), Anna (Molly Rainford) and Junior (Micah Balfour) tried to talk him into marrying Elaine.
But while his daughter’s advice came from a place of love and concern, Junior had a much more personal reason for pushing George away from Cindy and back towards Elaine.
Junior was jealous to hear that Cindy had confessed her feelings to George, having had an illicit affair with her earlier in the year.
As George told Junior there was something about Cindy that ‘just gets in his head’, he encouraged his dad to let it go, as Elaine would not hurt him in the same way she did.
George then rushed out determined to save his wedding, as Junior was left smirking at the turn of events.
After George managed to stop Elaine from leaving Walford, the wedding was officially back on and the couple walked down the aisle in front of family and friends.
Cindy was crushed as she watched the man she still loves marry another woman, and later skipped the celebrations at The Vic.
At home, she received a visit from Junior who was determined to use how things had turned out to his advantage.
Pointing out to his former lover that he offered her excitement and danger, it wasn’t long before they were back in each other’s arms.
However, their passionate embrace was witnessed by Junior’s uncle Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).
As Cindy chased after him, Kojo plunged over a railing, leaving his life hanging in the balance…
