Watch the moment EastEnders’ George Knight calls off wedding to Elaine Peacock after deceit is exposed
"I love you too Lainey. But... I can't marry you."
GEORGE Knight cancels his wedding to Elaine Peacock after Cindy Beale’s explosive revelation in EastEnders.
Elaine Peacock begged Cindy Beale to seduce George Knight in a last-minute loyalty test before their wedding day in Monday’s episode of EastEnders.
Cindy reluctantly agreed, leading to a nostalgic moment as she and George reminisced about their wedding day in Marbella.
Cindy urged George to recall the woman she was in Marbella – the one he married and “ravished in our honeymoon suite.”
“Did you ever stop loving her? Did you?” Cindy asked him.
As Cindy kissed him, George fumed and confessed that he doesn’t want her and loves Elaine.
But as he slammed Cindy for her game playing, Cindy can’t help but expose Elaine and her scheme.
Cindy revealed: “It was Elaine that begged me to do it! It was her idea. This, me the wine… one final test. And you know what George? You passed!”
George failed to believe Cindy and thought it was another one of her lies.
But when Cindy revealed her missed calls from Elaine, she called her back.
And Elaine asked her if George “fell for it,” leave George stunned.
He later confronted Elaine, who begged him to forgive her.
“Please don’t throw this all away! Our family, our life together. I love you so much,” she pleaded.
George replied: “I love you too Lainey. But… I can’t marry you.”
Can the Knight family rally together to get George and Elaine to the alter and say “I do”?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
