Pregnant EastEnders star Lacey Turner ‘excited’ for next chapter of her life
EastEnders legend Lacey Turner has shared her excitement ahead of the birth of her third child.
The actress, 36, is best known for her role as Stacey Slater in the BBC One soap.
In September, she confirmed in a Instagram post that her two children Dusty and Trilby will soon be welcoming their little brother or sister to the world.
Alongside a picture featuring Lacey, partner Matt, Dusty and Trilby on a beach holding ultrasound pictures, she wrote: ‘Aren’t we lucky…’.
The star has been at the centre of a number of high-profile storylines this year, from Stacey’s affair with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to being entwined in the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
In the last week, we’ve seen her old best pal Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) return with some shocking news for Martin Fowler (James Bye) – two years ago, she gave birth to his son!
Now, ahead of her maternity leave, she’s spoken in a new interview about how the sleepless nights ahead aren’t a problem for her.
‘Oh that’s ok’ she laughed, adding: ‘I’m excited for all of us really’.
She continued to The Mirror: ‘It’s like another chapter in our little story, yeah I am excited. There’s nothing better than a newborn and a newborn cuddle, so that would be lovely. Yeah, we’re really excited and we’re looking forward to it.’
No exit story details have been confirmed yet, but fans have already realised that she may not play a part in the upcoming 40th Anniversary celebrations.
Lacey admitted that she’s ‘really lucky’ to have been part of EastEnders for so long, accrediting that to being ‘surrounded by brilliant people.’
She added: ‘I don’t have a highlight, really, I’ve met some amazing people and learnt some amazing things – I am a lucky person.’
Ahead of the festive period, which is bound to be a dramatic one in Albert Square, she said: ‘I love this time of year and obviously we, you know, we’ve got a lot going on in our house but it’s going to be lovely.’
‘As the children grow older, it’s lovely. They change so much ad this age and it’s lovely to see they’re going through their little milestones and it’s great.
‘I love being cold, cosy cardigans and fires, I don’t know – I just love everything about this time of year!’
Something tells us that Walford’s Christmastime won’t be as cosy!
