Emmerdale spoilers follow for Friday’s (November 22) episode that is now available to view on ITVX. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 7:30pm.

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was left fighting for his life after an altercation with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), which ended with him hitting his head off a rock.

Ross, as viewers know, has been getting up to no good since his return to the eponymous village and, during Friday’s visit to the Dales, he attempted to steal Kim Tate’s (Claire King) car.

Kim, however, saw him doing so on the CCTV recorded outside of The Hide and thus she wasted little time in confronting him at Butlers.

Ross played the big man – that is, until he realised that Kim had evidence to prove his involvement and therefore he listened when the Home Farm legend offered him a deal.

In exchange for her silence – not to mention a big cash reward – Kim tasked Ross with getting husband Will out of her hair once and for all. The former couple, as fans know, have been embroiled in a war following Will’s infidelity with ex Rose (Christine Tremarco).

Kim has predominantly had the upper hand but Will has turned the tables somewhat in recent weeks, leaving her concerned that he might actually succeed in court and get a large chunk of what she owns, hence her desire to get him to back off.

Ross was perturbed at first, believing that Kim meant murder but to his relief she insisted that her ex remain alive – she simply wanted Ross to teach him a lesson.

Will, meanwhile, was on cloud nine after he made things right with Dawn (Olivia Bromley), who he fell out with previously over Rose, and as he said goodnight to her at Holdgate, he was attacked by a masked assailant.

A struggle broke out, with Will fighting back and unmasking the attacker, seeing Ross’ face.

Things, however, took a turn shortly afterwards, with Ross pushing Will, who fell and hit his head on a rock, with a pool of blood seen as he became lifeless.

Ross reeled in absolutely horror.

Has he killed Will? Or can he save him before it’s too late? Either way, how will Kim react when she learns of what happened? It seems she might be catching feelings for her ex once more so will she be upset at the prospect of losing him?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
