Newly dumped Ella Forster (Paula Lane) makes an announcement to her friend in Emmerdale soon as she wonders whether she has a future in the village.
Shortly after Ella’s childhood killer secret was revealed, most of the residents worked hard to ensure she felt welcome in the Dales.
It took a little bit of time, largely because some characters didn’t agree with letting her stay, but Ella slowly came to accept Emmerdale as her new home.
Sadly, it’s been a case of history repeating itself…sort of. Ella previously spoke about how she would often try and settle down somewhere, only for her secret to be revealed and she’d be forced to leave again.
This time, Ella feels as though she needs to depart the village, but because of Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
The local doctor dumped Ella after accepting his feelings for Chas (Lucy Pargeter) were a lot stronger. Right now, Ella has no idea this was why her relationship with Liam ended.
Coming up, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) feels concerned when she learns that Ella is planning on leaving. Not wanting to say goodbye to her pal, Manpreet comes up with a plan and together, they move into Dale Head.
When Liam gets word of this development he feels gutted, knowing he’d be able to be more open with his and Chas’ situation if she wasn’t around.
Later, Chas finds Liam in the pub and asks to put the brakes on their relationship a little, before admitting that she’s also in love with him.
Unbeknownst to them both, Ella has caught their conversation.
How long will it be before she works out what is going on?
