Jai is furious to discover who his new boss is in Emmerdale – and plots her downfall
Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) hates being told what to do, so imagine his horror when he learns a brand new, much younger member of the Emmerdale village is going to be his boss.
The new face in question is Stephanie (Georgia Jay), the daughter of Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly).
She arrives in upcoming episodes after spending years without contacting her parents.
Wanting to appease his distant daughter, Caleb will offer Jai a job, but he quickly throws it back in his face.
Later though, Jai has a chat with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy), who convinces him to forget about his pride and take Caleb up on his previous offer.
The next day, Jai arrives at the Depot to accept the job, but is quickly thrown when he learns Steph is his boss.
Following behind Jai is Ross Barton (Michael Parr). He pops by searching for a job but Caleb turns him away and tells him to leave Steph well alone.
Sensing an opportunity, Jai proposes a scheme to Ross to steal some of the stock from Caleb’s business. With that, Jai distracts Kerry (Laura Norton), which allows Ross to swoop in and steal one of the vans.
When Ross arrives at the barn, he starts to unload his loot, but is horrified to find Steph among the stock, questioning what he’s planning.
Oops!
What will Ross say?
And where will this leave him and Jai?
Discussing her arrival to the Dales, Georgia Jay said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory.’
