Elaine Peacock rocked by shock arrival in EastEnders as she issues ultimatum to George Knight
Elaine's family are left wondering what's going on
ELAINE Peacock is set for a major shock in upcoming EastEnders scenes – as she issues an ultimatum to fiance George Knight.
The character – played by Harriet Thorpe – permanently moved to Walford with George (Colin Salmon) last year, taking over the iconic Queen Vic pub.
They are now engaged and preparing for their wedding – but a new obstacle emerges.
In scenes yet to air, Elaine and her hens are getting ready for their big night at The Vic, while George prepares to meet the stags at The Boxing Den.
Ahead of the celebrations, grandson Johnny (Charlie Suff) tells Elaine that he’s got a big surprise planned for her.
Meanwhile, Anna (Molly Rainford) asks her soon-to-be stepmother to invite Cindy, George’s ex, to the hen do and wedding.
Elaine is reluctant about this, but ultimately agrees to do so.
At The Vic, Johnny unveils the night’s entertainment – a drag queen – leaving Elaine stunned.
Curious, Linda (Kellie Bright) and Johnny quiz Elaine on her reaction to the drag queen although she refuses to talk.
After Linda presses her mum to explain, Elaine finally reveals the truth.
Later, Elaine asks Johnny to help draw up a pre-nuptial agreement after discussing her upcoming marriage.
George surprises Elaine with a thoughtful present, saying he can’t wait to marry her.
However, his good mood disappears upon learning Elaine wants a prenup.
It comes as we previously shared the first-look pictures of the cast filming Elaine and George’s winter nuptials.
Harriet Thorpe, Colin Salmon, Kellie Bright, Charlie Suff and Molly Rainford were all dressed up for the wedding scenes.
A source said: “The BBC have clearly pushed the boat out for the wedding.
“These days its unheard of for even the big soap weddings to have large amounts of the cast filming on location but bosses have made it work.
“It’s set to be a dramatic week of episodes.”
Will George and Elaine have a peaceful journey down the altar?
EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
